About MiritiFest
A celebration of Amazonian cultural identity and miriti handicraft.
Festival mission
MiritiFest is more than a festival — it is a celebration of the cultural identity of Abaetetuba and the Amazon. Since 2004, we have brought together artisans, artists, musicians and visitors around miriti, promoting the value of this ancestral art and sustainable development of the region.
In 2009, the festival became Cultural Heritage of the State of Pará, recognizing its importance in preserving Amazonian cultural traditions. Today, we attract thousands of visitors annually, strengthening the local economy and giving visibility to artisans.
